Gegard Mousasi Really Wants To Fight Vitor Belfort

Vitor Belfort is currently without a fight, and is one of the top contenders in the UFC’s middleweight division. He’s in a bit of a weird position right now, with a bunch of other fighters in the division having fights booked, and with Chris Weidman and Anderson Silva rematching in December. Belfort is one of those fighters however, that can spice things up a bit and fight up a weight class in marquee fights. He fought Jon Jones at light heavyweight, and had a 195lb catchweight fight with Rich Franklin.

One man who really wants to fight Vitor is Gegard Mousasi, who today took to Twitter to let everyone really know just that:

“Everybody wants me to fight Vitor, I fight him at any weight. 185, 195 or 205 I am ready fans.”

Mousasi is also another fighter in a weird position. He could fight down a weight class, returning to middleweight or try to work his way up in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. At light heavyweight, Mousasi will probably have to string together some wins, but at middleweight, he probably jumps right into the mix to contend for the title with a good win.
