It felt like kind of a weird date at first and it wasn’t really clear why they’d be doing it, but there were reports swirling around earlier this week that the UFC would be heading to Brazil yet again on November 15th, just one day before UFC 167: St. Pierre vs. Hendricks was supposed to go down. It isn’t that putting an event before a big PPV is a bad idea, it is just that you don’t want to burn your fans out too badly before a big event or confuse fans who might think that the 15th event was the “UFC” for that week, while forgetting about GSP.
A report has come out today that has mentioned that while there were some talks about the event, it was far from final and far from official. There will not be an event on November 15th in Brazil for now, but they do plan on returning there some time soon.
