Bellator Moving to Friday Nights This Fall

Poor Bellator, it feels like they are always being kicked around, but the reality for them is that Viacom owns them and are just trying to find the best spot for them on Spike TV. For some reason they decided that Friday nights was the beset time for Bellator to go down, which seems almost like trying to ruin them if you look at how poorly The Ultimate Fighter performed on Fridays.

According to Spike TV, the idea behind the move is to avoid competing head-to-head with the NFL this fall, which they believe would hinder sports fans from finding Bellator programming. I’m not sure how much of a crossover is between MMA fandom and the NFL, but it seems like a logical move.
