Anthony Pettis vs. Gilbert Melendez Pegged for Year-End Show

We all love it when UFC titles get held hostage to injury and seasons of The Ultimate Fighter, right? It looks like the Lightweight Championship is going to be held hostage until UFC’s year-end event when we’ll finally get to see Anthony Pettis vs. Gilbert Melendez. Anthony Pettis will be coming off of a lengthy layoff due to multiple injuries, but the hope is that they’ll be ready to scrap by the end of December, which is an awfully long time away.

Both men are slated to host a season of The Ultimate Fighter against each other after Gil got his new UFC contract stating as such. We just have to hope that Anthony Pettis doesn’t get injured again, right? [source]
