Submission FC Bamboo Jiu-Jitsu Shirt Review
Just over a month ago I reviewed Submission FC’s hemp BJJ shirts and called them “outstandingly comfortable,” which still holds true, but their new bamboo line blows the hemp products out of the water.
Not only is the feel of the shirt improved, but the design of these shirts are simplistic and awesome. It’s the perfect graphic T-shirt for Jiu-Jitsu practitioners to wear inside and outside of the gym.

Comfort:
The Submission Fight Co.bamboo >American Jiu-Jitsu shirts are made from 70% rayon from bamboo and 30% organic cotton. Most people recognize materials such as organic cotton and hemp as extremely comfortable materials; unbeknowst to me bamboo exceeded them both. Not only are these shirts extremely soft, but they are also very lightweight and breatheable.
While the shirts are definitely slim fit, a small fits me quite well at 6′ 180 pounds. The American Jiu-Jitsu shirt fit perfectly on the first wear, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu shirt, however, was a tad bit tight. But, the shirts do stretch a tad with wear, and now the American Jiu-Jitsu shirt fits more like a regular sized small, while the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu shirt now fits like a slim-fit small.
Lastly, one huge improvement Submission FC made with these shirts over their hemp line was the itchiness of the logos. While that did subside after first wash, the logos felt heavier than they should have, that ceases to be a problem with these bamboo shirts, the logos feel nonexistant whilst wearing the shirt.
Design:
You can tell Submission FC was going for simple yet appealing when designing these shirts. The designs may be simple, but are approrpriate for gym wear, as well as casual occasions outside of the gym.
The American Jiu-Jitsu shirt consists of an American flag, with the Submission FC logo going through the stripes of the flag. Above the flag reads “American,” while below the flag reads “Jiu-Jitsu.”
The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu shirt has a very similar design. The graphic includes Brazil’s flag with the Submission FC logo across the celestial globe which is incorporated in their nation’s flag. Above the flag reads “Brazilian,” below the flag reads “Jiu-Jitsu.”
Closing Thoughts:
Whilst the bamboo Jiu-Jitsu shirt are highly priced at $39.95, they are definitely worth the money. These shirts are by far the most comfortable T-shirts that I own, they fit extremely well and look amazing.
Submission FC truly stepped their game up with their bamboo line, I wholeheartedly recommend that you spend your hard earned money on either shirt, or both.
