With Bellator’s release of Ben Askren it really looked like Ben Askren was going to be UFC-bound, setting up a big fight between Georges St-Pierre and Ben Askren, a battle of opposing champions. The reality is that Dana White doesn’t seem all-that interested in Ben Askren. Yes, that’s right, after all of that hassle, Dana White doesn’t seem to be overly interested in picking Ben Askren up for a big UFC contract like he did with Eddie Alvarez.
If the UFC neglects to sign Ben Askren this leaves him in a bit of a lurch, where he’d either have to slink back to Bellator and probably take a lesser contract or he gets signed by World Series of Fighting and fights a training dummy for a while.
