On the night of Friday, December 13th, 2013, The X-Treme Fighting Organization will present XFO-49: Marrello v. Morrow 2 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL. In the first meeting of these warriors at XFO Outdoor War 9, Marrello and Morrow went right to war from bell one. Marrello, a former contestant on the UFC’s Ultimate Fighter television show and standout light heavyweight from world renown fight gym, Team Curran came out looking for blood and instantly took the center of the cage. The scrappy and always dangerous Gilbert Grappling prodigy Rob Morrow, has fought some of the best 205’ers in the country and clearly wasn’t afraid of Marrello as these 2 huge men starting trading bombs. When the smoke cleared and the fans had finally taken a breath, the judges verdict was rendered and Mike Marrello was awarded the victory by split-decision. Half the crowd erupted in cheers, as the other half shrieked in disbelief as the Team Curran fighter address the crowd during his victory speech. One thing was for sure, it was a fight the fans wanted to see again.
That chain of events led us to this event, XFO-49: Morrow v. Marrello 2, where these 2 warriors will prove once and for all who is the best 205’er in the Midwest. The battle will take place in Marrello’s backyard of Hoffman Estates but Morrow will have a bus full of supporters coming up from Southern Illinois to cheer on their home town hero!
