WSOF 14: Shields vs. Ford Results

World Series of Fighting 14 took place on Saturday, October 11th at the Edmonton Expo Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In the main event of the evening, Jake Shields, who was recently released by the UFC, made his WSOF debut against Canada’s WSOF Welterweight champion Ryan Ford. Shields was knocked down early in the round by Ford, but would take Ford’s back and finish the fight at the end of round one via rear-naked choke.

The co-main event featured WSOF’s inagrural Heavyweight title bout between Smealinho Rama and Derrick Mehmen. It didn’t take long for Rama to become the promotions Heavyweight champion, finishing Mehmen via TKO in less than one minute.
