This has been quite a week for making the sport of MMA look kind of bad. The latest comes from Bellator as War Machine is apparently on the run after domestic abuse charges have come up. He’s wanted for beating his girlfriend, whom went unnamed in the reports, but we know as the porn star Christy Mack. In response, Bellator has switfly released a statement in regards to War Machine and that he has been released.
It looks like Bellator will have a zero tolerance policy. This is also not the first time that this has happened with this couple, either.
Newport Beach, Calif. (August 8, 2014) – Bellator President Scott Coker has issued a statement regarding Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine: “We have a zero tolerance policy here at Bellator when it relates to any form of domestic violence, and after learning of this latest incident involving Jon Koppenhaver, War Machine, Bellator is releasing him from him promotional contract with the organization.”
