This whole thing is such a weird mess, I’m not even sure where to start with it. Vitor Belfort was originally in line for a UFC Middleweight Championship fight, then NSAC banned TRT and the UFC pulled him. All the while the UFC was building up Wanderlei Silva vs. Chael Sonnen by doing a season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil. Wanderlei Silva then “ran away” from a random drug test and was pulled from the fight with Chael Sonnen, so then the UFC brought in Vitor Belfort for UFC 175 against Chael Sonnen.
Now yesterday it was revealed that Sonnen failed a drug test, leaving Vitor without an opponent and now Wanderlei Silva is angling for a fight with Vitor. This is insanity.
