Vitor Belfort vs. Lyoto Machida Possibly Going Down in Brazil This November

There is a very good possibility that on November 9th in Brazil we might see what would be a rather epic clash between Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida. Belfort has spoken about only wanting title fights or catchweight fights against bigger opponents and apparently the idea of Machida in Brazil is a big enough deal for him to accept. While it doesn’t appear to be official just yet, the word has been getting around that the two are set to face off in an event in Brazil on November 9th.

Machida is of course coming off of a rather controversial decision loss to Phil Davis at UFC 163 and would be looking to pick up a big one. A win over Belfort wouldn’t push him right back into title contention, but it would be an exciting fight to watch and would assure some fireworks, especially in front of a Brazilian crowd.
