UFC Scores New TV Deals in Mexico and Latin America

This was bound to happen eventually, especially with the rise to prominence of Cain Velasquez in the UFC Heavyweight Division, right? UFC has secured itself a new television deal in Mexico on the Televisa Networks, which will have exclusive rights to distribute UFC programming in Mexico as well as 20 other Latin American countries. This is a big deal for the UFC, who has long been criticized for not attracting a Spanish-speaking audience.

Bringing the UFC into different markets can only help the brand, especially in Latin American countries. Later this year they will launch a UFC-centric channel through the Televisa deal as well, but until then fans in Mexico can catch UFC on TDN and in Latin America they can catch it on the Golden Channel.
