The third UFC card on Fox Sports 1, UFC on Fox Sports 1 3, takes place on September 3 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Today two new fights were added to the card, and they’re pretty big ones.
In the light heavyweight division, rising contender Glover Teixeira will face off against Ryan Bader, in a fight that definitely will have some importance in regards to the title picture. Teixeira is currently riding a twenty fight win streak, and has won all four of his fights in the UFC. Last time out, he submitted James Te Huna in the first round at UFC 160 last month. Bader also comes off a first round submission win, over Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC on Fox 6 in January. The two were originally scheduled to meet at UFC 160, before Bader pulled out due to injury.
In the middleweight division is another important fight, between Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Yushin Okami. Jacare made his UFC debut in May at UFC on FX 8, where he submitted Chris Camozzi in the first round via arm triangle. Okami beat Hector Lombard in his last outing, which took place at UFC on Fuel TV 8 in February. Okami currently has three wins in a row while Jacare is on a four fight win streak.
