EA Sports UFC Simulations: Hendricks vs. Lawler 2; Pettis vs. Melendez

UFC 181 goes down this Saturday, December 6th at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The main event will feature a bout for the UFC Welterweight championship, as Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler meet for a second time. A title fight will also take place in the co-main event, where coaches of season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez will square off for the UFC’s Lightweight title.

EA Sports UFC has simulated the outcomes for both of these bouts and has predicted that both fights will go the five-round distance.

The simulation seemingly predicts Pettis to get the better of Melendez for the better part of five rounds, taking home a unanimous decision along with his belt.

As for Hendricks vs. Lawler II, the simulation predicts another closely contested bout between the two, possibly even closer than their first meeting, as Hendricks comes out on top yet again, retaining his title, this time via split decision.

Do you agree or disagree with EA Sports UFC’s simulation of these two title bouts?
