The talk of disparity of pay in the UFC has been a hot-button issue for years now, as the UFC’s pay structure has always been a bit odd. Only a few fighters actually make halfway decent money, while the rest are not bringing home much at all. Remember that even if a figure looks impressive, that fighters are paying for their training camps, managers and gear on their own, plus they are responsible for paying their own taxes, as they are independent contractors.
Of course, Anderson Silva gets a PPV percentage, as well, which means that he made more money than is projected, but he also has to pay international tax rates. These are credit to MMAFighting.
