There has been some talk for a while now of World Series of Fighting challenging Bellator to a co-promoted event where both sides would face off. One of the potential fights would be a battle between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Tyrone Spong. Tyrone Spong might be a relative newcomer to MMA, but his Muay Thai and Kickboxing record is that of legend at this point, with him winning this year’s GLORY 9 Light Heavyweight Tournament, a one-night, eight-man tournament to declare the best Light Heavyweight Kickboxer on the planet. Tyrone Spong then handily defeated former foe Nathan “Carnage” Corbett in devastating fashion.
There was a war of words today via Twitter, all sparked by Tyrone Spong trying to goad Rampage Jackson into a fight, which seems to have at least gotten Rampage’s attention.
