Welterweight Tournament Set For GLORY 31 Amsterdam

GLORY, the world’s premier kickboxing league, today announced the co-headline bout and final two one-night, four-man Welterweight Contender Tournament participants for GLORY 31 Amsterdam.

No. 2 ranked heavyweight Ismael “Mr. Pain” Londt (38-6-1, 18 KO) and returningHesdy “Fighterheart” Gerges will rock RAI Amsterdam in the co-headline bout onSaturday, June 25.

Plus, feared Dutch-Surinamese contender Murthel “The Predator” Groenhart (58-20-3, 33 KO), ranked No. 1 in the division, and GLORY newcomer Karim “The Felin” Benmansour of France kick off the one-night tournament.

Comprising the other first round tournament match-up are Swiss striker Yoann Kongolo(61-7, 45 KO), fresh off his classic battle with reigning welterweight kingpin Nieky Holzken, and Armenian-Belgian Harut Grigorian (50-9, 31 KO), who impressed in his GLORY debut, knocking out Máximo Suarez in April.

The tournament winner will face Holzken for the GLORY Welterweight World Championship at a later date.

GLORY Lightweight World Champion Robin “Pokerface” van Roosmalen (35-6, 19 KO) headlines GLORY 31 Amsterdam, defending his belt against No.1 ranked Sittichai(108-29-5, 26 KO) in a rematch of their hotly contested battle from November of last year.
