The Vote is in — MMA Still Illegal in New York

The movement to get MMA legalized in New York has been ongoing, with big pushes from the UFC to help Dana White to live out a dream of his, which is to promote an event at Madison Square Garden. It has been a game of politics, with the Fertitas’ past with a Culinary Union from Las Vegas being one of the main opponents for them in NY, with that union lobbying pretty hardcore against legalizing MMA in NY.

According to MMAFighting.com, the bill has once again been tabled in New York by officials, which means that it will be another year before the topic can be brought up again. Tough luck, New Yorkers.
