Shogun Rua vs. James Te Huna Slated for UFC Fight Night 33 Co-Main Event

The tale of Shogun Rua is that of potential, heartbreak, redemption and more heartbreak, which has left fans feeling uneasy about his future as a fighter. It looks like Shogun isn’t done yet, though, as he is primed to step into the ring yet again on December 7th at UFC Fight Night 33. The fight will serve as the night’s co-main event, right under Mark Hunt vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva, making this another card on Fox Sports 1 which looks to be quite stacked, which we won’t complain about.

Shogun Rua is coming off of back-to-back losses, first to UFC Light Heavyweight title contender Alexander Gustafsson and then most recently to Chael Sonnen. James Te Huna will feel right at home in Australia for the fight and is coming off of a loss to Glover Teixeira back in May, other than that he boasts an impressive 5-2 record in the UFC, with his other loss to Alexander Gustafsson.
