Ronda Rousey Wins 2014 ESPY Award

PPV numbers are a nice indicator of how important you are, but for Ronda Rousey having an award from a national sports media outlet is probably a bigger deal right about now. Last Night Cowboy Cerrone might have battled it out with Jim Miller, but Ronda Rousey was up for an ESPY award for Best Female Athlete. Oh, and, she won. That’s right, Ronda Rousey won the Best Female Athlete ESPY award last night, making a huge statement for Rousey and the UFC.

Where does Ronda Rousey go from here? Floyd Mayweather might not know who she is (or her gender), but the world seems to know who Ronda is and she has arrived in a big, big way. Congratulations.
