Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson Officially Headlining UFC 161

With Champion Renan Barao out with an injury, the Bantamweight division limps on in the UFC, which means that there is a new main event for UFC 161. That main event really is a worthy one in Dan Henderson vs. Rashad Evans, both former champions in their own right and two of the very Light Heavyweights in UFC history.

The bout was already set for UFC 161, but has now bumped up to the marquee spot in light of Barao’s injury. Fans were already looking forward to the bout so it looks like disaster averted for this UFC event. There is still no word on a possible opponent for Eddie Wineland or if he will still even fight on this card. At least they have not instituted yet another Interim Championship, right?
