Rashad Evans Expects a Fall Return to the Cage

Rashad Evans had a tough break recently when he found himself with an ACL injury, having to pull out of a bout with Daniel Cormier at UFC 170. He’s already had surgery to repair it and thankfully we can expect to see Rashad Evans back in the ring this fall. As for how the injury happened? Here is what Rashad had to say about the injury. “[The knee injury] was the last practice of the camp,” Evans told host Ariel Helwani. “Towards the end of practice, I was doing a wall drill, where guys are trying to hold me against the wall, and we were wrestled up and [training partner Cezar Mutante] slipped out of position and he ended up landing on my knee at a certain angle. I landed on it wrong and I messed my knee up pretty bad, and at that point that was before the conference call.”

Now that doesn’t sound fun. Hopefully we can finally get to see that Daniel Cormier vs. Rashad Evans fight in the fall, as it sounds like Jon Jones isn’t willing to give DC a break just yet.
