Programming Note: This Week is FULL of UFC Events

I kind of had to slap myself this morning, because even though I’m fully immersed in this MMA world and write about it everyday, sometimes things slip through the cracks. UFC event dates seem to be integral in the knowledge that I let pass me by sometimes. Maybe it’s just because there are so many UFC events going on that it all becomes a blur and you can naturally just assume that every Saturday will be sucked into the black hole of “fight night” which will last 5 – 6 hours and leave you feeling a bit dizzy afterwards.

Not this week, though! This Saturday was a bit of a reprieve, only for the UFC to go full force with two, count ’em TWO events this week. Damn. The first is UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2, which is Wednesday night! Yes, Wednesday night on Fox Sports 1. Also competing on the card will be Donald Cerrone vs. Rafael Dos Anjos, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Brian Melanconn and a whole lot more.

Then on Saturday night is UFC 164: Henderson vs. Pettis, featuring the much-anticipated UFC Lightweight Championship bout, a rematch from WEC, between Benson Henderson and Anthony Pettis. Also on the card is the return of former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett against Frank Mir, Chad Mendes vs. Clay Guida, Ben Rothwell vs. Brandon Vera and a whole lot more.

That is a LOT of MMA for this week, right?
