Like Shaun in Shaun of the Dead, Chris Weidman left a note on his ‘fridgerator spelling out all of his goals leading up to his ultimate battle. He told himself that he would defeat Anderson Silva, and he did. Maybe it’s because of the power of positive thinking, or maybe he defeated Anderson Silva because Anderson squared up, wobbled his knees like a goof and then closed his eyes, opening himself up to get punched in the face.
We’ll never know.
