NBC Sports and World Series of Fighting Extend Deal
World Series of Fighting has found itself a long-term partner with their current broadcast partner, NBC Sports Network. It was announced today that NBC Sports Group and World Series of Fighting will continue forward with their relationship through 2017. That deal includes 14 events to be broadcast through NBC Sports Group this year, which is mostly events on NBC Sports Network, but also two events on NBC proper, which is exciting news.
This will be the first time that NBC has broadcast MMA like this. The first NBC event will be on July 5th and the second on December 27th, interestingly enough, both evenings also house UFC events that night.
World Series of Fighting President Ray Sefo, who is also a six-time kickboxing world champion and Hall of Famer added, “We have enjoyed tremendous success as a young company with the great people at NBCSG, and we are thrilled to be continuing on this journey with them for years to come. World Series of Fighting will continue to put on premier MMA events around the world with some of the world’s best fighters, and we’re so proud to be able to share it with all of NBC and NBCSN’s viewers.”
