Going into Metamoris 4, if you were to tell us that Chael Sonnen would compete and get tapped out, well, we’d probably be surprised that he’d compete and take a risk of being fined by the NSAC, but the being tapped out part isn’t shocking at all. Chael Sonnen has a rich history of being tapped out and many of us expected Andre Galvao to tap him out at Metamoris 4. That is precisely what happened, although Sonnen did hold on for most of the match without being tapped.
Chael Sonnen did live up to his promise, though, he showed up for the fans and performed.
