Keenan Cornelius and Vinny Magalhaes were originally set to throw down at Metamoris 3; however, Magalhaes was forced to withdraw from the match due to a severe staph infection known as MRSA.
In the “Countdown” video both Vinny and Keenan talk about Vinny having to pull out from their original match.
Due to Magalhaes being unable to compete, Cornelius instead took on last minute replacement Kevin Casey. While Casey, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, was a formidable opponent, he was outmatched by Cornelius.
Cornelius picked up a solid victory at Metamoris 3, but this should be a much more difficult test for him.
The match between Cornelius and Magalhaes should be one of the most exciting, if not THE most exciting match of Metamoris 4. Let’s just hope that it actually goes down this time.
