Mark Hunt didn’t want to fight Bigfoot

For someone who never turns down fights, Mark Hunt has seemingly turned down a lot of fights lately. This Bigfoot fight, the JDS fight at first (supposedly), but that doesn’t take on iota of love I have for the kiwi with loads of knockout power, he’s still probably my favorite heavyweight to watch.

On Ariel Helwani’s MMA Hour, Hunt detailed why he turned down the Bigfoot fight that will likely end up a war in just a few weeks at UFC Fight Night.

“I declined the fight, I wanted a different opponent. I didn’t want to fight the fight because he’s an ATT member.

“Not only that, the same thing happened with Cheick Kongo. We worked together before. Like I said before, though, I’m an employee of the company. It’s just what we do for work. Business aside, we’ll still be friends, say hi, this and that. That’s the way it is.”
