Luke Rockhold Fears That He’s Fighting Both Vitor Belfort and TRT on UFC on FX 8

Former Strikeforce Champion Luke Rockhold makes his promotional debut for the UFC this Saturday in Brazil at UFC on FX 8 against UFC legend Vitor Belfort, but it seems that there are a lot of things on Rockhold’s mind going into this fight, mainly Belfort’s TRT usage which is only mildly regulated in Brazil. Belfort has been a TRT user for a while now, with him getting an exemption in his home of Brazil to use TRT and with many concerned that their regulations are a bit more lax than in Nevada or other parts of the United States.

For a while TRT was seen as a godsend and because it was “legal” most people were tentative to speak out about it, but Dana White has taken a bit more of a hardline stance on it being “legal cheating” and wants the UFC to regulate it a bit more. According to an interview with MMAJunkie, Rockhold is a bit upset that it looks like Belfort has been avoiding regulation, as he has not fought in the United States since 2011, with one fight in Canada against Jon Jones and the rest taking place in his home of Brazil.

Do you think that it is a fair assessment that Belfort is running away from regulation, or is he just playing the game that many fighters do while fighting in his home town?
