Chan Sung Jung put forth a valiant effort this weekend against Jose Aldo in a bout that saw both men injured, with Aldo breaking his foot and Jung separating his shoulder, which led to the end of the fight. Jung is obviously disappointed at the injury and feels like he didn’t get a chance to be his best against one of the best fighters in the world. We understand how much of a bummer that must be to suffer a freak injury like that in the fight of your life.
Jung would love a rematch, but he’s respectful and realistic about it, understanding that he needs to piece together a few big wins first.
“As far as the rematch goes, I would love to get a rematch,” Jung said. “I would love to ask for a rematch, but I think there are other people that are waiting in line right now, and I probably have to get a couple more wins in the division before they’ll give me another shot at the title.”
