Khabib Nurmagomedov Tears Meniscus

Remember when last week Khabib Nurmagomedov had signed a new deal to compete against Donald Cerrone, only for it to be reported that minutes after he signed the deal he injured his knee? We now know the severity of the injury from Khabib Nurmagomedov and it doesn’t look great. Nurmagomedov has a torn meniscus and according to his manager, it looks like he’ll be out until at least January, meaning that the fight with Cowboy Cerrone is definitely off for now. Bummer.

This is a serious blow to Khabib Nurmagomedov’s career at this point, considering that this kind of injury can possibly be detrimental to his future, plus he had to back out of a fight that a win in might have helped skyrocket him towards the top of the division. We wish him a speedy recovery. [source]
