Jose Aldo has No Fear of Anthony Pettis, Says He’d Fight Cain Velasquez if They Wanted Him To

Oh Jose Aldo. Everyone seems to want to see Anthony Pettis square off against Jose Aldo and it looks like Dana White wants to make that fight happen, sooner rather than later. I don’t blame Dana for that, especially after losing out on all of those big Anderson Silva super fights by waiting so damned long. So bring on Aldo vs. Pettis already, because we don’t want to wait for it.

Over the weekend there has been some talk from Aldo’s camp and Dana White about it, with Dana White responding to Aldo’s trainer calling for Pettis to return the Lightweight belt and drop to Feathwerweight, and saying that it makes it sound like Aldo is “scared.” What?

“I can fight Cain Velasquez if they want,” Aldo said in an interview to Brazilian TV show Planeta Nocaute on Sunday. “It’s not up to me, I’m not the matchmaker. I want to fight, I’m here to fight. I train everyday to destroy whoever they put in front of me. I’m not scared of anyone. They have two arms and two legs, and I will do my best and win.”
