Well, most people were predicting that Jon Jones would easily defeat Glover Teixeira at UFC 172, but we gotta give credit to Glover for lasting all five rounds here. That being said, Jon Jones just absolutely dismantled Glover Teixeira at his own game. Jones used his reach and strength to keep Glover at bay. Glover was winging shots but Jon Jones literally had his hand on Glover’s head so that he was missing, it was like a gag from the Simpson’s.
Jones took a few solid shots from Glover throughout the fight, choosing to get in close against him to stifle his big shots. What’s interesting is that Glover got taken down a few times, but was able to pop back up almost immediately. Pretty impressive display from Glover, but not anywhere near enough to defeat Jon Jones.
