Jon Fitch wins the split-decision at WSOF 6

It wasn’t pretty. In fact, it was a decidedly ‘Jon Fitch fight’ and you know what that means. And even though the headline says that Fitch won the split-decision, that was bullshit in my eyes. Fitch clearly won 29-28 in a fight that was far too close than it should’ve been against a surprisingly tough Marcelo Alfaya.

So is Fitch back on track? No. He looks like he’s lost a step, plodding into weak takedown attempts that he refuses to set up with any kind of striking. Granted, he did gas out Marcelo, and then tagged him in rounds 2 and 3 with far superior boxing.

Welcome back, Fitch. Kinda.
