Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman II Set to Headline World Series of Fighting 3

The rematch of one of the few times that Jon Fitch has finished a fight is set to go down at World Series of Fighting 3, folks. This last weekend at World Series of Fighting 3 Josh Burkman picked up a win over Aaron Simpson in impressive fashion and you could feel it in the air, the fact that WSoF was trying to set up Burkman vs. Fitch II for June 14th in Las Vegas. If you were waiting with baited breath to see what Jon Fitch’s first post-UFC fight will be, you can take that breath now.

Ray Sefo confirmed the fight on Twitter, making it official after a rather flat confrontation on television last Saturday. Burkman had washed out of the UFC after 2008 and has since then been on a bit of a tear, evolving as a fighter, while Jon Fitch reached the top of the UFC’s Welterweight division, only to be unable to find a way through George St. Pierre’s defenses. It will be interesting to see just how far Burkman has come in June. [source]
