Jon Fitch vs. Josh Burkman 3 booked for WSOF 11 July 5th

The trilogy to end all trilogies. Kinda. Josh Burkman shocked the world when he put Jon Fitch to sleep with a nasty guillotine choke over a year ago. For some, it sent Fitch spiraling from the top ten that he was aborted from in the UFC, to others, it just proved that he’s lost it, and hasn’t had ‘it’ for a while.

Now, with Jake Shields pulling out of their July 5th fight due to injury, Burkman steps in and we will see the trilogy completed. Obviously, this is huge for Fitch, but even bigger for Burkman. Good fight.

WSOF president Abdel-Aziz said this to MMA Fighting:

“When I called Josh to take the fight he didn’t hesitate and said yes right away. he will fight anyone, anywhere, anytime. I have nothing but respect for him.”

So does Shields get the winner, or?
