Fan Favorite Joey Beltran Alludes to Being Cut By the UFC

The UFC is a strange beast sometimes, as just yesterday it was announced that they signed Japanese fighters Tatsuya Kawajiri and Katsunori Kikuno, only for what looks like a now former UFC fighter in Joey Beltran to send out a tweet implying that he has moved on to browner pastures.

This doesn’t come as a huge shock as Joey Beltran has a loss to James Te Huna, followed by a win that was overturned to a NC against Igor Pokrajac due to Beltran testing positive for PEDs. Then the final nail in the coffin was his October 9th performance against Fabio Maldonavo, with Beltran walking away with a decision loss. This won’t be the first time that Beltran has been given his walking papers by the UFC.
