Jarrell Miller Mirko Cro Cop’s New Opponent for GLORY 17

As we reported last week, Sergei Kharitonov will be unable to compete against Mirko Cro Cop at GLORY 17, which left him without an opponent. Well, it turns out that New York’s own Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller will be Cro Cop’s new opponent and for those that are unaware, Miller and Cro Cop have quite a history together.

Jarrell Miller is primarily a Boxer, but has a background in Kickboxing and Muay Thai. In fact, like many of the best names and prospects in American Kickboxing, he fought in Chuck Norris’s WCL and even held a win over Pat Barry in that organization. That was just when Jarrell was incredibly young, he’s grown since then and become quite a force.

Jarrell was picked up by K-1 in 2012 to compete in their Los Angeles event where he qualified for the K-1 World Grand Prix tournament with a win over current UFC fighter Jack May. His opponent in the K-1 World Grand Prix in Croatia? Mirko Cro Cop. The thing is, Jarrell was really putting in the work against Cro Cop and completely nullifying him throughout the bout. It was close, but to many, it was clear that Jarrell had defeated the legendary Mirko Cro Cop in his hometown. That is, until the judges read the decision and found Cro Cop victorious.

Needless to say, Jarrell wasn’t happy and has kept away from Kickboxing since then. That is, until now.
