James Krause replaces Isaac Vallie-Flagg, meets Sam Stout at UFC 161

UFC 161 takes place for the first time in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and is just over two weeks away, with a card headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson. The fight card has seen some changes, and recently it received another one as Isaac Vallie-Flagg was forced to drop out of his lightweight fight with Sam Stout due to injury.

James Krause will replace Vallie-Flagg and face Stout on the FX preliminary card. Krause is currently riding a seven fight win streak, though he was stopped by Justin Lawrence in an exhibition qualifying fight for The Ultimate Fighter: Live in March of 2012. His last five wins have all come under the Resurrection Fighting Alliance banner, where other UFC fighters like Tim Elliot and Brandon Thatch came from.

Sam Stout is currently 2-2 in his last four fights but is coming off a split decision win over Caros Fodor at UFC 157 in February. Stout first fight in the UFC came all the way back in 2006, and he currently holds a record of 7-7 in the organization.

Other changes to the original UFC 161 fight card include the removal of the Renan Barao vs. Eddie Wineland UFC interim bantamweight title fight, Roy Nelson replacing Soa Palelei against Stipe Miocic, and TJ Waldburger being replaced by Kenny Robertson against Sean Pierson.
