I was a Pantera fan first and foremost because of Rob Van Dam. Walk introduced me to the band, and although even at a young age I didn’t dig the whole metal cowboy deal, I could still appreciate Pantera, and Dimebag. No, Dimebag isn’t the greatest metal guitar player ever, but he was fun, and I remember being absolutely shocked the night he was killed (the anniversary of John Lennon’s death, if you can believe it). So without further ado, listen to Matt Brown talk about the death of Dimebag. He was there, man.
