Go Ahead and Watch Phil Baroni on This FX Toughman Show

FX used to air a series called “Toughman,” which was based upon the Toughman competitions that were going on at the time, while MMA was still growing and trying to become a legitimate sport. It was pretty much exactly as you would expect it to be; headgear, boxing gloves and weird rules that were kind of like MMA, but not really.

This is pretty brutal, as you can see Phil Baroni in his prime here being the New York Bad Ass. Watch that awesome grounded knee that he hits in Round 2. Marvelous.
