Georges St-Pierre’s Knee Surgery Set For Next Week

Georges St-Pierre’s plans to return soon to the UFC have officially been dashed by tearing his left ACL, which will require surgery. This will be the second of such surgeries, the first on his right knee, which puts the grappler in a bit of a rough spot. Georges St-Pierre’s surgery is scheduled for next week in Los Angeles with the doctor who performed the other ACL surgery, Dr. Neal ElAttrache. [source]

On Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight, MMAFighting.com’s Ariel Helwani reported that St-Pierre will undergo surgery next week in Los Angeles under the care of Dr. Neal ElAttrache.

ElAttrache, a noted sports surgeon whose clients include basketball superstar Kobe Bryant, operated on St-Pierre’s right knee in 2011, after GSP suffered an ACL which kept him out of action for a year and a half.
