Gegard Mousasi was set to square off against Rondaldo “Jacare” Souza at UFC 176 but found out about the cancellation of UFC 176 the same way that we all did — through social media. As you can imagine, the former DREAM Champion is less than thrilled with finding out that his bout at UFC 176 was off through unofficial means. He took to his Facebook to make a post aimed at the UFC (it has since been removed); “its always nice to hear that your fight is canceled through social media good job ufc [sic].”
Dana White would later reveal that Gegard Mousasi and Jacare Souza would have their fight instead on September 5th at Foxwoods in Connecticut.

So it looks like he’s pushed back by about a month, but Gegard Mousasi’s frustrations still ring true. Seems like it’d be easier to give everyone a call first before letting the bad news out and putting fighters in limbo.
