Free Fight: Anderson Silva vs. Rich Franklin

Former UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva had a rough 2013, being knocked out by Chris Weidman to lose his title, then breaking his leg in their rematch.

Silva has been inactive for the whole year of 2014 and will be making his long-awaited return to the octagon on January 31st in the main event of UFC 183 against Nick Diaz.

Before Silva meets Diaz, let’s take a trip down memory lane; going all the way back to 2006, where Silva make his second UFC appearance against then-Middleweight champion Rich Franklin.

Silva ran through Franklin, knocking Franklin out with a vicious knee in just under three minutes and taking the Middleweight title that he would hold for nearly seven years.
