Free Fight: Al Iaquinta vs. Ross Pearson

15th ranked UFC lightweight Al Iaquinta will be meeting 14th ranked Jorge Masvidal in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 63 which takes place on April 4th.

Iaquinta, who competed on season 15 of The Ultimate Fighter as a member of Team Faber, was known mostly for his wrestling skills coming into the UFC. However, much like Serra/Longo training partner and current UFC middleweight champion, Chris Weidman, Iaquinta’s striking has been improving fight after fight.

Iaquinta recently put his striking ability on display against UFC veteran and top notch striker Ross Pearson. Iaquinta was able to find a TKO victory over Pearson early in the second round of their UFC Fight Night 55 bout back in November of 2014.

Going into his fight with Masvidal, Iaquinta has won six of his last seven, winning his last three all by way of TKO.

Before Iaquinta meets Masvidal at UFC Fight Night 63, take a look back at his handywork against Ross Pearson.
