Free Fight: Benson Henderson vs. Donald Cerrone I

Donald Cerrone and Benson Henderson have met twice in the past, both fights taking place in the WEC for the organizations’ lightweight title. In both meetings the former UFC Lightweight champion Henderson would come out on top.

Cerrone and Henderson will now meet for a third time in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 59, which will take place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.

Cerrone will fill in for an injured Eddie Alvarez, who was originally slated to meet Henderson, and will be fighting just 15-days removed from his unanimous decision victory over Myles Jury at UFC 182.

Before Cerrone and Henderson meet at UFC Fight Night 59 this Sunday, take a look back at their first meeting at WEC 43, which won ‘Fight of the Year’ in 2009.
