Free Fight: Brandon Thatch vs. Paulo Thiago

UFC welterweight Brandon “Ruckus” Thatch is one of the fastest rising prospects in mixed martial arts. Thatch has been victorious in both of his UFC appearances, winning by knockout in round one. All 11 of Thatch’s career victories have come via first-round finish, with eight knockouts and three submissions to his name.

Due to a Tarec Saffiedine groin injury, Thatch will now headlined UFC Fight Night 60, which takes place at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on February 14th, opposite Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson in just his third UFC appearance.

This will be Thatch’s first bout in over a year due to a gruesome toe injury that kept “Ruckus” sidelined.

Before Thatch steps into the octagon to meet Thompson, let’s take a look back at his most recent performance against UFC veteran Paulo Thiago at UFC Fight Night 32. It didn’t take Thatch very long to dispose of Thiago in this one, just over two minutes actually. A devastating knee to the face crumpled Thiago, sending him to the canvas and causing him to tap due to strikes.
