Fabricio Werdum Wants a Shot at Cain Velasquez as Well as a Spanish TUF Series

Fabricio Werdum made a big impact on the UFC this weekend picking up a win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira via submission and has his sights set on UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez next. That is, of course, if Cain can overcome Junior Dos Santos in their rubber match. According to Werdum at a post-fight presser he made it clear what his intentions were, and even seems dead set on doing another season of The Ultimate Fighter.

The catch? He’d want to do it in Spanish to coincide with UFC’s new Latin American television deal. Werdum spent part of his life in Spain, with his mother being Spanish, and actually serves as a broadcaster and commentator for the UFC en Espanol. Werdum would be interested in coaching another series of The Ultimate Fighter alongside Cain Velasquez to build up to a bout between the two for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.

While it is a novel idea, seeing as though it would be for a UFC Heavyweight title shot I’m not so sure it would be a good idea to leave out a good portion of UFC’s revenue-making American PPV market out of the loop. [Source: BE]
