Expect Roy Nelson to Finish MMA Career in the UFC

With all of the hub-bub that Roy Nelson caused after his last fight and refusing to sign a contract extension there has been a lot of speculation about what “Big Country” had planned for the rest of his career. He made a gamble with his career and it simply didn’t pay off in a lackluster performance, but apparently, things will be just fine for good old Roy Nelson.

Nelson is not going to be going anywhere, as according to his manager, he has signed a nine-fight contract with the UFC which will span at least three years and most likely close out his career as a MMA fighter. There have been no financial terms disclosed, but one has to figure that it was good enough for Roy not to look elsewhere and to be happy to stay within the UFC.

Roy Nelson’s next fight is against Daniel Cormier at UFC 166.
