Fight of the year. Yes, better than Jones/Gustafsson, or whatever else fight is out there. Melendez vs. Sanchez. This was a truly epic battle in a night full of duds. This was a true test of spirit and heart, as both fighters rallied multiple times from deep and dark places whilst getting rocked and bleeding all over the arena.
I can’t stress it enough, this fight had more near finishes than Gary LaPlante with a cam girl. It’s been literally 9 rounds of perfection from these two, and I can’t wait to see more.

Long Beach was booing Eddie Alvarez and the decision, but that’s ridiculous. This fight was just utterly fantastic, and if you didn’t see it, watch it however you can immediately.
